Master of Health Administration: Admission Requirements

Degree and Minimum GPAApplicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent from an international college or university.

OR

Applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of 2.5 to 2.99 on a 4.0 scale with five years of health care work experience that included supervisory and/or budget responsibility.
TranscriptAll students seeking enrollment must submit official transcripts from each institution attended.
Official GMAT/GRE ScoreQueens University of Charlotte does not require student applicants to submit entrance exam scores for admission into the online MHA program.
Work ExperienceStudents must have two years of full-time health care work experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Résumé outlining your academic and professional background, as well as recognitions, honors, and awards
  • A career statement detailing your career goals
  • Two letters of reference from people capable of evaluating your educational background and work experience or personal character

Transfer Credit

You may transfer up to nine credit hours into the online MHA. Credits must have been earned within the past five years from a regionally accredited institution and will need to be evaluated by Queens.

If, after you have been admitted, you would like to gain credit for a course taken outside of Queens, you will need to submit a transfer credit form prior to enrolling in the course.

When to Apply

Start your application or call us at 866-313-2356 to apply now for spring, summer, or fall term, and hear back in about 1-2 weeks. Completed applications can be sent to onlineinfo@queens.edu. Students can start in spring (January 11th), summer (May 11th*), or fall (August 31st) with priority deadlines occurring roughly four weeks prior to the start.

*The Queens Master of Arts in Educational Leadership program will have an additional summer start on July 6, 2020. Students can apply to start May 11th or apply by June 26th to start July 6th.
