Curriculum: Improving Yourself and Others

The Executive Coaching Certification program explores organizational coaching methods designed to help you advance your career. You’ll learn from experienced educators and gain skills to improve performance.

The Executive Coaching Certificate requires the completion of four courses and a practicum. Two courses can be chosen based on your professional goals. Course offerings include instruction on advanced coaching theories, interpersonal and group dynamics, contemporary leadership, consulting and more.

In this course, you will explore the foundational disciplines of coaching and its impact on organizational change. Guided by expert educators, the course examines coaching as a tool for intervention and development, and delivers skills in strategic planning, goal-setting, contracting and progress management.

Course Spotlight: MBA 673 Advanced Coaching Theories and Application

This course examines advanced coaching theories and methods, along with the leading scholars in the field and the significance of their contributions to the executive coaching industry. After completing the course, you’ll have the expert knowledge required to build strong coaching relationships and promote skill development in individuals.

Each graduate business certificate can be completed in one year.

To apply for admission, you’ll need the following:

  • Completed application
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  • Admission essay (contact a program manager for more details)
  • Resume outlining academic and professional background and recognition, honors, and awards
  • Two recommendation letters from professional references
  • Three years of professional work experience (preferred)

The Admissions Committee may request GMAT/GRE score if more information is needed to make an admission decision. Submitting a strong GMAT/GRE score could strengthen your file if you are concerned about other areas of your application.
